Christmas In Palestine 1/12a.jpg

Allenby Bridge leaving Palestine.

The question was would the Israeli Government let me slip through somehow. There is no doubt that the incendiary remarks I have made about U.S. and Israeli terrorism have made me well known to Mossad and the CIA; so would they stop me?

Upon my arrival to the border station I was officially on my own so as to prevent anybody else from being denied entry; simply for association with me. Well my companions did get through while I remained detained, without being asked any questions. I have no doubt that calls were being made to the government to determine what to do with me. This is exactly what happened before Turkey deported me. After about 5 hours I finally had an Israeli border agent ask me two questions;

1) Why are you here? My answer was short and sweet; "I am here because I honestly feel this is the very best place to be at this time (Christmas); and at this point in history." He had no answer for that one.

2) How much money do you have? I had enough.

So I was in after about six hours of detainment; but I could not help thinking maybe there were "other plans" for me. Palestine is a dangerous place (because of Israel that is) and if a bullet wandered into my head well who could blame Israel? Either way I was committed and I stopped guessing why they let me in. There is no logic with governments.
