Mohammed (on the left) is a Palestinian mobile phone shop vendor in Amman. He was extremely helpful and at the end of all of his help he was literally giving me a mobile phone! I had to insist to pay for the phone; his generosity was spawned by conversation about our reasons for being there. It is almost uniform that the people there genuinely appreciate those of us from the West who care enough to at least come and see for ourselves what is going on in these distant lands.
