While in Balata Camp we stayed at the home of a martyrs family which are primary targets for Israeli raids and searches with no problems at all while we were there. I would never suggest that our presence stopped any Israeli activity but it was uncanny how we would go to hot spots and all would be quiet. Than we would leave and things heated up again; as it did in Nablus, which got very hot again (when we were not there). While in Nablus we went for a walk to the checkpoint looking for any Israeli activity; but thankfully all was quiet at least for one day; Christmas day.
