Kindness & Generosity.

The conditions that most of the Palestinians live in would be considered deep poverty by most in the West for sure. But despite this I see more genuine happiness in these people than I do with the same vast majority of comparatively 'prosperous' Westerners. Meeting Palestinians only reaffirmed a lesson I learned many years ago; money is not the key to happiness. And in my opinion money gained by harm to humanity or our planet inevitably results in soul crushing agony that translates to what I call humanities current 'collective state of insanity.'

As I said goodbye to all the people I met in Palestine & Iraq my feelings were very strong; a mixture of joy, shame, love, anger, inspiration and responsibility. One thing is for sure, meeting these people has enriched me in the most profound of ways. And I am sure that my feelings are not unlike what most people experience.
