A lucky non-human.

I hardly mention anymore that I am 99 percent Vegan (consuming no animal products) simply because I am so focused on global justice in the human realm. But that does not mean that I am turned off to the horrid reality non-humans endure; not at all. It is a global reality that non-humans are treated in the most violent and abusive of ways and there is still a relative few of us who see all this for what it is, mass murder of fellow sentient creatures that is totally unnecessary and not only destroying our planet and our health but holding back our spiritual progress and ultimately our collective attainment of true humanity.

"A human being is part of a whole, called by us the "Universe," a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest - a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty." - Albert Einstein
